The following is a list of committees and a description of their objectives and activities. To volunteer, contact the chairperson for the committee.

Candidate Recruitment & Development:

Objective is to recognize candidates as the future of our chapter and to motivate and encourage candidates to continue their studies. Encourage candidates with four or more parts completed to join the Society as candidate members. We can achieve these goals by offering scholarships, including them in social and charity events and meetings.

Chapter-Section Liaison:

This group coordinates activities/promotions of section membership. Activities include monthly meeting to include topics from the interest sections, conduct a section research project and identify the members that are in sections.

Connections:

The priority of this group is to focus on building relationships with members employers, especially those employers with five or more CPCUs. This can be accomplished through written and personal contact. Kits from National are available to assist when contacting employers.

Good Works:

This committee reaches out to the local community to serve others who are in need. In the past, we have performed service activities and made contributions to many local organizations including Operation Hope Prison Ministry, Laura Dester Center and Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Child Abuse Response Network and American Red Cross.

I-Day (All Insurance Industry Day)

Objective is to host an educational seminar once a year. In the past, this has been a four hour event with keynote speakers and breakout sessions with some Continuous Education Credits

provided. Lunch or breakfast is provided.

Membership:

The purpose of the Membership Committee is to address the needs and concerns of the members. Activities of this committee are to survey members, recognize accomplishments of members, maintain membership directory and contact inactive members.

New Designees:

Objective is to welcome new designees and encourage their involvement. Activities include personal phone calls, congratulatory letters and recognition at monthly meetings. Plan a local conferment ceremony.

Visibility:

This objective is to increase the visibility of Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU among the insurance industry and the business community. Some of the methods include placing advertisements in local periodicals, press releases and publishing Chapter Newsletters.

Webmaster(s):

Objective is to maintain a chapter website that is a useful resource to members and non-members. Information is published on the website from a variety of sources, but mostly from the officers, chairpersons and by webmasters themselves. Training is offered by National and sponsored by our chapter.
