The
following is a list of committees and a description of their objectives and
activities.� To volunteer, contact the chairperson for the
committee.

Candidate
Recruitment & Development:
Objective is
to recognize candidates as the future of our chapter and to motivate and
encourage candidates to continue their studies.� Encourage candidates with four
or more parts completed to join the Society as candidate members.� We can
achieve these goals by offering scholarships, including them in social and
charity events and meetings.
�
Chapter-Section Liaison:
This group
coordinates activities/promotions of section membership.� Activities include
monthly meeting to include topics from the interest sections, conduct a section
research project and identify the members that are in sections.
�
Connections:
The priority
of this group is to focus on building relationships with members� employers,
especially those employers with five or more CPCUs.� This can be accomplished
through written and personal contact.� Kits from National are available to
assist when contacting employers.
�
Good Works:
This committee
reaches out to the local community to serve others who are in need.� In the
past, we have performed service activities and made contributions to many local
organizations including Operation Hope Prison Ministry, Laura Dester Center and
Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Child Abuse Response Network and
American Red Cross.

I-Day (All
Insurance Industry Day)
Objective is
to host an educational seminar once a year.� In the past, this has been a four
hour event with keynote speakers and breakout sessions with some Continuous
Education Credits
provided.�
Lunch or breakfast is provided.
�
Membership:
The purpose of
the Membership Committee is to address the needs and concerns of the members.�
Activities of this committee are to survey members, recognize accomplishments of
members, maintain membership directory and contact inactive members.

New
Designees:
Objective is
to welcome new designees and encourage their involvement.� Activities include
personal phone calls, congratulatory letters and recognition at monthly
meetings. Plan a local conferment ceremony.

Visibility:
This objective
is to increase the visibility of Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU among the
insurance industry and the business community.� Some of the methods include
placing advertisements in local periodicals, press releases and publishing
Chapter Newsletters.�
�
Webmaster(s):
Objective is
to maintain a chapter website that is a useful resource to members and
non-members.� Information is published on the website from a variety of sources,
but mostly from the officers, chairpersons and by webmasters themselves.�
Training is offered by National and sponsored by our chapter.
